Ron Stefani, President

Ron Stefani has 20 years of publishing and technical communications experience at various employers in the Austin area. He is currently employed by Dell Inc as an Engineering Communications - Senior Consultant in the Enterprise Storage Group, where his primary focus is developing sales training for intelligent data management solutions. He has also worked extensively in project management (Project Management Professional-certified) and people management and has written for a wide variety of audiences, ranging from datacenter professionals to users of consumer electronics. Ron's areas of interest in technical communications have been in minimalization, content management, and quality improvement. Outside of work, Ron enjoys running, watching his sons play various sports, and taking vacations with his family. Ron has a BA in Journalism from Baylor University.

Marilyn Rogers, Treasurer

Marilyn Rogers has almost two decades of experience as an information developer and marketing professional with enterprise software companies. She is employed at Dovetail Software in Austin, TX as a Marketing Director. Previously, she held positions in Austin, TX and in the Silicon Valley at Borland Software, Remedy Software, Sybase Incorporated, and Informix Software. Marilyn has extensive experience with Agile SCRUM methodology, lean documentation, software development lifecycle, DITA, XML, HTML, wiki, GUI design, usability, and single-sourcing. Marilyn earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising. Donna Zacks, Director of Public Relations

Donna Zacks has been a Technical Writer for the past ten years. While currently in between jobs, she is looking for an exciting career opportunity. Her background primarily consists of writing HTML based online help user manuals, in addition to training documents, and assisting in training sessions. Her experience also includes hard copy user manuals as well as some website design. As a new member of STC Donna has jumped in with both feet as Director of Public Relations, where she hopes to tap into her creative side and use her social skills to help broadcast all that STC Austin has to offer. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, majoring in English and Psychology. She was born and bred in Boston, Massachusetts, but has made her home in Austin, TX for the past thirteen years.

Wanda Hill, Employment Director

Wanda Hill is a senior technical communicator specializing in hardware and software documentation. Her work experience includes additional background as a printed circuit board designer and instructor, electro-mechanical drafter/designer, and manufacturing professional. She currently serves as the STC Austin Employment Director, including posting jobs and overseeing resumes and salary survey.
